Turkey Community Service Ride

About this event
Description: Join MTCCNJ for our annual community service tradition as we purchase turkeys and deliver them to charities that serve the communities throughout Newark!!
We will meet in Millburn, cycle to ShopRite of Newark to pick up the turkeys, and make four (4) delivery stops nearby. Afterwards, we return to Millburn for fellowship and hot beverages at Sunny Scrambled (formerly Rock N Joe).
The club will make the contribution for the turkeys we will be delivering this year. Members wishing to make additional contributions will have the opportunity to purchase turkeys from ShopRite (206 Springfield Ave, Newark, NJ) the morning of the ride.

Cancellations: Check the MTCCNJ Rides & Activities WhatsApp chat group (members only) for last minute updates or the Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey private Facebook Group, for everyone else.
COVID-19: To minimize the spread of the virus we ask that all register from the website to avoid a paper sign in sheet at the start of the ride.
REQUIREMENTS:
All riders must register for the ride. Let's roll out on time by registering before you arrive. This helps to quicken the check in process.

Please be sure to wear your club kit, bring your helmet, a spare inner tube, CO2 cartridge, bike pump, cell phone and a pleasant attitude.
Front and rear lights are recommended for this ride. The ride will NOT take place in rain or wet roads
Safety is our priority:

- If you are sick, please stay home
- Avoid touching other riders
- Practice safe distancing at all times (6' rule)
- Bring your own hand sanitizer
